Who doesn’t want to get a personal photo with Swami? Who doesn’t want to be part of pleasure trip with Swami, especially life time chance of Kodaikanal Trip?

Sri. Ruchir Desai sir was in charge of kitchen & meals arrangements at Sai Shruti in Kodaikanal.

There were multiple occasions we have noticed in Kodaikanal, Ruchir Sir was not seen in our outing Trips with Bhagawan.

We the school students used to wonder why Sri. Ruchir Sir was missing in our group photo & our group always. We used to think was he late to onboard the bus? Or was he not informed about the outing timings or schedule? Or Swami did not allow him to be part of outings?

So little had we understood about this Sevaka…at that time.

As we learned later once trip was over, this sevaka & messenger of Swami was performing his duties back in kitchen. Sri. Ruchir Sir was making sure that we Boys can go and enjoy our pleasure trips with Bhagawan so that once we are back to Sai Shruti we get our meals on our plates on time.
Sri Ruchir Desai sir was so devoted to his duty & his tasks assigned by Swami. He even sacrificed his trips with Swami, so that we the boys can get 3 meals, no… 4 meals as snacks were also included!

Sri. Ruchir Desai Sir was the embodiment of punctuality, which I learned later when I became his direct student in Brindavan B.Com Hons ( 1994 -1997). How stupid I was to think of him that he must have been late to on board the Kodaikanal bus for picnics and excursions with Bhagawan.
I should say our Kodai Trips epic photographs, as every single person is visible except Sri. Ruchir Desai Sir…..Why was he missing? The answer is above.

You are really a true inspiration to all of us Ruchir Sir. We Miss you a lot. Sairam!
