Around 21 alumni of SSSIHL gathered at Dharmakshetra on 25th September 2022 between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The agenda for this meet was to discuss and contemplate on the various seva opportunities where the alumni can participate.
Following are the three major areas wherein some of the alumni have already been leading the initiatives and look forward to scale up the same going forward –
1. Education:
Sri Satya Sai Vidya Mandir , a Marathi medium school established by Bhagawan at Dharmakshetra more than 5 decades ago and caters to around 800 students. The school has recently been renovated and efforts are being made to digitize the records in order to improve record keeping and efficiency and the vision is also to gradually also grow the number of students with time.
2. Nutrition:
Narayan Seva is being carried out on a daily basis wherein almost 1000 food packets are being prepared and distributed on a daily basis through the Sai Kitchens set up at Dharmakshetra and Sai Prem. On Sunday’s, the number of food packets prepared and distributed goes up to 2,000 and on special occasions like Swami’s birthday, Guru Poornima, Dassehra, etc, this number is in the range of 3000 – 5000
3. Medical:
Healthcare facilities, both at Dharmakshetra and Sai Prem have been recently renovated and upgraded and cater to 100s of patients on a daily basis. More than 300 eye care surgeries have been done in last few months
