Bhagawan had visited Rajahmundry in 1968. My grandmother took me to the place where He was residing and placed me on His lotus feet. Swami blessed me. For my family, we only knew Swami as our GOD.
Swami does things that make us seek HIM, know HIM and ultimately reach HIM. My grandparents were staunch devotees of Swami. My father was very devoted and disciplined right from his childhood. He always wanted to stay with Swami in Puttaparthi. However, Swami told my father to return to Rajahmundry and fulfil his family responsibilities. My father’s only compelling desire was to attain Moksha. In 1988 my father decided to give up his life to Swami. He jumped into a well crying out, “Sairam!” Just as he was about to hit the bottom of the well, he was propelled back to the top. It was Swami who saved his life and made him realize that Moksha can only be attained through total surrender and not by ending one’s life. Our family was very worried about father’s condition and informed Swami. Swami said that his condition has been so for a long, long time.
My father decided to stay with Swami in Puttaparthi after his retirement in 2004 – leaving everything to Him. His yearning for Moksha intensified and one day he asked Swami, “Swami, please give me Moksha”. Swami replied, “It is easy to get Moksha. You cannot get Moksha on the road or in the market. Sadhana is required. Do Sadhana.” Since then my father did prayers incessantly. One evening after Darshan, he returned to his room and prayed. Swami appeared before him, materialized Vibhuthi and applied it on his forehead. He then merged into Swami. Swami manifested himself before my father to grant him liberation. My father had surrendered his life with total faith and devotion to the Lord.
I would like to share another incident. My mother was diagnosed with a heart ailment. The doctors said that she required a surgery to rectify the problem whereas others stated that it would be too risky considering her delicate health. Our only way out was to ask Swami. Just the day before the operation, Swami came up to me during Darshan and said, “Your mother is getting operated, I know. Don’t worry I will take care.” Swami blessed me with Vibhuthi and told me to take Padanamaskar. By His grace, the operation went successful. Swami gave Darshan to my mother in the ICU room when she gained consciousness. We were very happy and returned to Parthi. Next day Swami asked, “How is your Mother”. We said, “Swami, by Your grace she is fine”. The amount of concern Bhagawan has for each of us in much more than we can imagine. The unfathomable ocean of His love goes far beyond our comprehension. It is my constant prayer to Bhagawan that He be with us and guide us throughout our lives.
